Chris Brown began his training at some of Toronto's top restaurants
including Splendido and Avalon before spending four years in Europe working
at restaurants in Italy and France. It was while in Europe that Brown
learned the art of simplicity in cooking. Upon returning to Toronto Brown
opened Perigee Restaurant, described as "one of Toronto's best fine dining
restaurants" by Toronto Life, with his father and brother. Mr. Brown is
currently Food Enterprise Co-ordinator at The Stop Community Food Centre,
where he runs catering, cooking classes and dining experiences to support
The Stop's anti-hunger and community development programs.
